CAPUD Organizational Collaborations
CAPUD is constantly collaborating with amazing drug policy organizations from all over Canada. We wanted to share a few of the collaborations we have on the go:
We work closely with the Canadian Drug Policy Coalition (CDPC) on a number of initiatives including; co-hosting Stimulus Connect programming and webinars, as well as co-hosting Stimulus 2022: Drugs, Policy and Practice in Canada our upcoming national conference SAVE THE DATE- September 28 to 30, 2022. Additionally, we are collaborating on the ‘Getting to Tomorrow’ project and various other projects as they arise. Thank you CDPC for ensuring PWUD are leaders in our shared work.
Last but not least, CAPUD works closely with the Dr. Peter Centre, Urgent Public Health Need Site Community of Practice HUB on several initiatives that have led to multiple working groups, developing policy briefs and protocols along with collaborations with CAPUD members. Thank you Dr. Peter Center for ensuring PWUD voices are front and the center, guiding our work in leadership roles and integral to our shared work!
CAPUD values these collaborations immensely and have great respect for both organizations and the relationships we’ve built, both have contributed to equitable and just opportunities for our members. Mad respect for CDPC/Stimulus and the Dr. Peter Center!❤️
What is Stimulus Connect
Stimulus Connect is not just another webinar, it is an opportunity for Canadian stakeholders in harm reduction and drug policy to come together, learn and network on specific topics. We strive to provide an online space where authentic connections are made on issues that affect us all. In addition to pulling together key contacts to discuss the topic, we also gather related journal articles, resources, media and tools and provide these resources along with the #StimulusConnect recording on our website.
#StimulusConnect topics are curated in consultation with the Stimulus National Implementation and Planning (SNIP) Committee and their Executive Committee. A group of key stakeholders are then brought together to collaboratively plan the content, speakers and methods of each event. As with other Stimulus program activities we work from a framework of Nothing About Us Without Us. Stimulus Connects include English/French simultaneous interpretation.
WELCOME TO THE HUB
A place where knowledge and information on harm reduction, Urgent Public Health Need Sites (UPHNS), and COVID-19 can be shared across Canada.
Getting to Tomorrow: Ending the Overdose Crisis
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
